When and where will camp be held this year?
May 31–June 4, we will be heading to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, alongside several other partner churches. Transportation will be via coach buses.

What does camp cost?
Thanks to the contagious generosity of Burger Burn, we were able to significantly reduce the price of camp for everyone. The early-bird registration fee is $545, until May 1. After May 1, the registration fee is $595.

I will graduate from High School at the end of this school year. Can I still sign up to go to camp?
Congratulations to all of our seniors on finishing high school! As for camp, this year is for current 6th–11th graders.

What will students be doing at camp? What kinds of activities are provided and what does a typical day look like?
Every day at camp will be filled with activities that your student is going to love. There will never be a dull moment! There will be daily color war competitions where students can earn points for their color team. There will be free time each afternoon, including sports tournaments and other surprises. Every morning and evening there will be powerful sessions designed to help your student grow in their relationship with God. Your students will also have meaningful conversations with adult leaders in small groups.

How can I help send students to camp?
We know how impactful camp can be in the lives of students and we never want finances to limit students from participating. There are several ways to help send students to camp. You may make a donation online to the scholarship fund.

What are my student’s team colors?
You can expect an email from the Converge team no later than 10 days out from camp with team assignments and colors.

Will students be able to go to the beach?
No. But the ocean sure will look pretty from the bluffs!

Will my student be safe during this event?
Yes, the safety of our students is our first priority. Throughout the week, your student will be under the close care of a background-checked and interview-approved leader. Each leader has completed a special process to ensure safety and protection of your student. Our leaders are caring, kind, and mature. We want you to know that not only will your student learn, grow, deepen and have fun—but will be safe as well!

Take a look at the security measures we’re taking to ensure your students safety:

  • Students will go straight to their rooms after concluding the days events, and will not be allowed to roam the property after lights out. An adult security team will ensure this each evening.

  • Room keys will be held by leaders only. A staff member will be the point of contact for the rooms and will be roaming the property until 1–2 am, for security purposes. A staff member will also have a key to all rooms in case of an emergency.

My student has medical issues/allergies/etc. Who can I speak with to know my students will receive the necessary treatment?
If your student has any medical issues or allergies that require medication, please note them on the registration form and bring the medication at the time of drop off. Please place your student's medications in a plastic bag with the student's name and a picture inside. All medications must be in original packaging with instructions. All medication will be turned over to our camp nurse. During their time at camp, nurses will distribute medication daily. It is your student's responsibility to take their medications as needed.

My student made a request to room with a friend. How do I know they will actually be together?
We will do our best to honor every request we receive. Please know there are several factors involved in group assignments, so we appreciate your understanding if we’re not able to accommodate your request.

Can my student bring their cell phone?
Cell phones will be collected upon arrival. We encourage students to bring cameras for personal photography, but camp photos will be available after camp digitally. This will help students fully participate camp activities and helps to prevent students from planning and executing after hours activities, inappropriate images being shown, and late nights due to cell phone use.

This is my first time letting my student be gone for multiple days. Can I contact my student as needed?
Yes, you may contact your child by phone any time you feel it's necessary. The best way to contact your child will be through their group leader, who will have their phone on them at all times. Be sure to get their phone number before departure in order to reach your student. Students may also use their personal cell phone to call home as needed.
