FAQs

Converge is Christ Church’s Students camp and this year we are going to Glorieta Adventure Camp in New Mexico from June 6–10. The teaching, worship, and leadership at camp are our Christ Church teams. We are thrilled to return to Glorieta this year for this event.
-
Glorieta is a large campground that will host several groups alongside Christ Church, but we have our own exclusive dorms for sleeping, meal times in the cafeteria, and dedicated meeting spaces at the campground. Outdoor free-time activities will be shared with other campers.
-
We’re excited to have Pastor Nick Ely preaching at Converge this year! He’ll be teaching from Isaiah 6, focusing on encountering the holiness of God and responding to his call. Pray that God will open hearts to his word and deepen our understanding of his holiness and calling in our lives.

We understand that cost is a factor for all families. Costs for lodging and transportation continue to rise, but we worked hard to offer the same pricing as last year. Through the generosity of our church family, we also reduced the cost of camp from over $700 per student to $550 per student. Be sure to take advantage of early bird registration before March 31 for an additional discount of $50.
-
We would be glad to help you consider the arrangements that would best serve your family. When you register, click the checkbox for financial assistance to get in touch with our team. Options for this year include:
Payment Plan: Our new registration platform will allow you to pay the $50 deposit to register and then make payments as you are able before the students leave for camp. If you need to make payments beyond June 1, our team can provide an extended timeline.
Scholarships: For families in financial hardship, a scholarship application is available. We feel the responsibility to carefully steward the resources of our church family and will take into consideration what is available and how we can help families in need. Checking the financial assistance box on your registration form will reserve your spot while you engage in the application for scholarship process. If you are unsure whether or not you can attend based upon the availability of scholarships, you can fill out the application here.

Camp is for current 6th–12th grade students in the 2024–2025 school year. Even though you just graduated, seniors are welcome to attend this finale event of the ministry season.

Not yet! Converge is for current 6th–12th grade students, but we can’t wait to have you with us next summer.

One of the advantages to this location in New Mexico is the experience the students will have at a campground that includes a lake and water activities, a zipline, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and more. We also have a dedicated field where we will run our daily color-war activities that everyone knows and loves. You can be sure, there will never be a dull moment! There will be free time each day to build relationships, enjoy the outdoor activities Glorieta has to offer, hang in the snack shack and coffee shop, and other fun surprises. Every morning and evening there will be powerful sessions including worship and preaching that are designed to help your student grow in their relationship with God. Your students will also have meaningful conversations in small groups.
-
Cash isn’t needed for any of their meals but Glorieta has several snack/coffee shops and a merchandise store which are optional. They do NOT accept cash. If your student won’t have a credit card, you can add funds to a camper account for them when you fill out your Glorieta waiver.
-
You can expect an email from the Converge team no later than 10 days out from camp with team assignments and colors.

Yes, the safety of our students is our first priority. Throughout the week, your student will be supervised by a background-checked and interview-approved leader. Each leader has completed a special process to ensure safety and protection of your student. Our leaders are caring, kind, and mature. We want you to know that not only will your student learn, grow, deepen their relationship with God, and have fun—but will be safe as well! Glorieta has similar certifications and requirements for any adult on campus so you can be sure that staff and leaders from the campground are also carefully selected.
-
If your student has any medical issues or allergies that require medication, please note them on the registration form and bring the medication at the time of drop off. Please place your student's medications in a plastic bag with the student's name and a picture inside. All medications must be in original packaging with instructions. All medication will be turned over to our camp nurse. During their time at camp, nurses will distribute medication daily. It is your student's responsibility to take their medications as needed.
-
We will do our best to honor bunk requests. Please know there are several factors involved in group assignments, so we appreciate your understanding if we’re not able to accommodate your request.
-
We value your partnership in helping create a Christ-centered, distraction-free camp experience. If it is best for your student to leave their phone at home to avoid those distractions, we support that! For students that choose to bring phones, use will be restricted to free-time, travel, and windows of time approved by their small group leader. If students don’t comply with leader instructions about phone use, group leaders will store the phone for the remainder of camp. Please chat with your student in advance so they know what to expect about limited cell phone use.
-
If needed, the best way to contact your child will be through their group leader. Leaders will have their phones and, while they will be busy with camp activities, will do their best to respond to calls in a timely manner. Your leader will share contact information prior to leaving for camp. Feel free to reach out to them as well to make sure you know how to stay connected.

We know how impactful camp can be in the lives of students. There are several ways to help send students to camp. Our annual Burger Burn event is the weekend of March 29–30. Plan to eat a burger after service and make a donation help our students get to camp. You may also make a donation online to the next gen fund at any time.
