Love Kids in Need is Christ Church’s initiative to show the love of Christ to children in our community and around the world. This season, there are two ways you can make an impact on the next generation.
Change the Future for a Child in Rwanda
Since 2019, Christ Church has given generously so that churches could be planted and schools started in the country of Rwanda. Today, there are six churches, three schools, and one medical clinic all teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness. Lives are being transformed and whole communities have been healed in Jesus’ name. For $350, one child can receive a gospel-centered education, meals, medical insurance, a uniform, and supplies for an entire year. This initiative is about making an impact that will span generations and transform countless lives for all of eternity.
We are thrilled to celebrate the generosity of our church family. In October, during our Love Kids in Need initiative, we collected over $88,000 to impact the lives of children in Rwanda by not only providing for school for an entire year but also additional resources to add classroom supplies such as desks, books, and other materials. If you would like more information about our partnership to bring gospel impact to Rwanda, please reach out to Kirk VanMaanen.
Purchase a Christmas Gift for a Child in Need
City Hope is a ministry of Christ Church giving help and hope in Jesus’ name to those in need in our local communities. This Christmas, we want to bring smiles to the faces of children whose parents may be struggling to provide a gift. Imagine the joy in a parent’s heart as they select and wrap a special toy for their child. You can be a part of this beautiful experience by purchasing an unwrapped Christmas toy for a child in need and bringing your gift to the table in the main lobby during the month of November. Let’s come together to share the love of Jesus in a tangible way and make this Christmas truly special for every child in our community.

“By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?” 1 John 3:16–17
